Well, today was the big day...the search for the dress....THE dress. Going in I knew the overall look I wanted to go for; so it's not like I had to try on every single dress in the store, but still I knew it would be a challenge. I really wish my friends could've joined me...Morgan, Leisa, and Carrie, but Morgan was off to Bluffton, and Carrie and Leisa had work. Hopefully we can all go together to get bridesmaids dresses....BTW girls they said early August at the latest. Okay, back to the dress. So my mom came to help and give her opinion. The first look I tried on was the top of my picks. I loved it when I put it on, but still there are others to try. So on with the next...as soon as I looked in the mirror I knew to head back and put that one back on the hanger. I went on a search and came back with a couple more. One of which wasn't what I was initially going for, but I thought, "What the heck, I'll only do this once." I never even tried that one on. The other one however, I liked, but still something I didn't quite like....although, it was LOTS lighter than the first. So the wonderful Alissa brought me a couple others to try on. The first of those to was nice, there was one detail that was perfect, and it was also a lighter one, but still not the one. The other one was very lovely. It had a wonderful detail that was really pretty, actually two, plus it was lighter as well. I couldn't decide...honestly, I was hopefull one of the lighter ones would work, but I sort of knew that first one was the favorite. So back to the first one....yep, I'm pretty sure....but let's try on that last one again just to make sure. Another helper (don't know her name, but she's great) asked me to try the first one on again for her...so again I donned all the accoutrements that goes along with the first heavy dress and put it back on. I like it, mom likes it, that seems to be the favorite of the workers and the other brides around. Yes...oh yes....that's the one. I don't think it's necessarily what I ever thought I'd wear in a bridal gown, but it's the one I chose. I can't wait to see what my girls think. While I was there I picked up the shoes and a couple other things to go along with the dress. In the end I tried on six dresses...one twice and another three times, but I got what I wanted. So YAY!
Five....y'all she's five!!!
