Jeff has been under the weather a bit....a reaction to some medication. So last night he was very unsure if he'd be able to do what we had planned to do today. Which meant either I'd have to do it alone, or we'd have to wait, which neither of us wanted to do. Well, big ol' emotional me got all upset (not mad upset, sad upset). I want him involved in as much planning as possible; helping me make the decisions. Today of all days I needed him. We had to decide on the church, and pick a photographer. Plus, on top of not having my fiance with me I wouldn't have my ring. Wah-wah. He said he trusted me to make the decision, which is great, but these decisions are important to both of us.
So he woke up this morning feeling terrible, but decided to go on the first adventure to the church (THANKFULLY). We got to look around, and check everything out. It suits us, so we've turned in the application and deposit. It has to be approved by session, which isn't until the first part of July, but we were told there shouldn't be a problem.
During our trip down I knew there was no way that Jeff was going to journey with me to NC to meet with the last two photographers. We've talked at great length about the photography. It's SO important to both of us. We've poured over websites and blogs this past week and a half. We've met some great ones. We truely liked them all, but we had a feeling about one we've already met with, and honestly we sort of knew then that she should be our photographer. Before we had settled there was
Scott Holloway, we talked to
Corey Cagle, we met with
Jeff Hall, today we were supposed to meet with
Honour Hiers Mann and
Katy Cook. All of these were wonderful. The skill level is great, and they were all so nice. I hope to see all of them, and perhaps work along side them, in the future. So during the service today Jeff wrote a note...let's cancel the photography meetings today, and go with her. Who's her?
Lindsey Mart, that's who!! I can't wait for her to do our photography. We'll get to do an engagement session, I'll do a bridal, and then the wedding. We SO look forward to it!
So we're happy. Two big things down.
So o the ring. We swung by the jewelry store today. It'll be fixed tomorrow, but we were told no big deal....it won't fall out, and if it does it'll be replaced. Truthfully, we would like to have the same diamond for sentimental purposes, but you got to love that guarantee.
BTW...Jeff is slowly recovering.
Here's a couple of pics of the church...Lickville Presbyterian Chruch
