Today I picked Carrie up at 8:30, and we headed to Athens to meet Leisa for the dress thing. Well, we got there about 10:00, and I remembered that the store doesn't open until 11:00. So Carrie and I got to do a little window shopping at Ashley Furniture and an educational toy store. So finally the store opened, and the dress shopping began. It seemed pretty painless. They found something they both liked right away. I was so excited to see them in the dresses, even though they were a different color than they actually will be....it just sort of made it feel a little closer, which is great! I'm also very pleased that the girls all got a style that they like, and that they aren't all exactly the same. The colors match, but they have something that suits their taste.
I had a great time hanging out with them both in the store. Unfortunately, Leisa didn't get to go to lunch with us, and we certainly missed her. Carrie and I did lunch at Panera Bread, which is just the best. I quite enjoyed getting to talk to Carrie about everything for our ride over, lunch, and the ride back. I'm really going to miss being so close to her and all those folks in Calhoun Falls.
Now I'm back in Greenville, and we're really getting down to business. Books are going on the shelves in the office, another room is being cleaned out, and things are getting organized. Hopefully by Friday things will be mostly in their proper places, and this will look a little more like a house than a war zone.
