And today...

First...Carrie and Brantley are parents to the terribly cute Baylor, who weighed in at 7 lbs. 13 ozs. and measured 20.25 inches long. A big CONGRATULATIONS to the Caldwells!!!

Jeff plays a computer game called World of Warcraft. An incredible amount of time can be spent on this game...hours...days...forever. I have to admit I'm not a big fan of gaming to begin with, but when one can consume such an enormous amount of time...I just don't get it. I'm not one who can be happy staring at a screen pushing buttons all day. Yes, he plays this game quite regularly...it's sort of like every chance. He thinks I'm doing something on the other computer (which I do...emails...quickly check facebook..blog, but that all takes no time), and he's logged in gaming, which all of a sudden he'll be tied in for 2-3 hours. Honestly, it's quite annoying, but it's something he enjoys. We both need separate interests...we don't have to do everything together. He understands that I'm not the biggest fan of his playing, just because suddenly the afternoon is tied up with him sitting in front of his laptop, and me wondering what to do. He tells me that anytime I'd rather him not play...if I have something else in mind to let him know, and he won't play. Truly, when I ask him not to, he doesn't. The only drawback to this is if he's already in a game...one of those that will take a couple hours...it's hard to get out. I will admit that he's been very into the wedding. Jeff's been with me on every decision, apart from the gown. More often than not the groom has very little say in the big day, and I'm grateful it's not like that with us. There are somethings that he just don't (for lack of better word) care about. Today was a day for some of that stuff. So while Jeff got a chance to do some WOW gaming I decided to venture out to do a little shopping.
I hit up the craft stores around...yep, another trip to Hobby Lobby. Basically I was looking for something to create topiaries with...the greenery that is. I settled on trying reindeer moss, and bought just one pack to test my topiary crafting skills. As soon as I got back I grabbed my glue gun and begin my project. I have to say the ball turned out quite nice looking. I'm going to have to go get more for the base, as well as enough for the other few. I also worked on the wreath for the front of the church. Also pretty good.

I'm a little worried I'm starting all this stuff a little early, but I'm just so anxious to get it done. Probably just more so for that day to be here...YAY! Plus, I'm thinking I'd rather get all the hands on stuff that can be done early completed so it's not all rush rush in the weeks leading to November 1.

Also, while I was out Leisa called to say the test batch of spinach quiche, which is one of our wedding foods that she is making, turned out really tasty. I'm so thankful for my wonderful friends who are using their awesome skills for our day.
