Full day, but not much done

Today I fully expected to be well on our way in this office, but alas...not quite. Our first tasks was getting an area rug to cover the carpet. This carpet wasn't the best when Jeff moved in, and he's added to the stains. He's wanted hardwood pretty much since he's been here, but has put it off. So we've discussed that option. We realized that if we have more than one child, which we certainly will---this only child would definitely not want just one, we'll have to have a larger house. So whenever that day comes we'll most likely use this as a rental property. We decided we really don't want to do wood floors just to move out in a few years. So we thought about carpet, but again...in a few years it might not be quite so stellar, and there we'd be replacing it again. So a big area rug was the answer. I must say it looks pretty darn good. So on to shelving. We only were able to get part of it the other day...they need to get a little more stock in. So we put up the tracks on the walls, and then we had to paint the shelves. So in between that Jeff decided to hack my phone, which took a good chunk of the day. He's determined to beat this machine....and steadily worked. I loved that techie determination. See, I recently got the Motorola Z6tv from Verizon, and it seems they've gotten quite sneaky. There's hardly a way to create your own ringtones anymore....they want you to pay them for one. Now I really don't want to pay for that, plus they'd never have some of the songs I want---particularly the one for Jeff. So off and away he went trying to figure that out. Google was used...searched through forums and such, and came up with several options....and he tried them all. So he finally decided to take a break and make a paint run. So back at home, and we ate, fumbled with that phone a little bit longer, and finally painted....one side of the shelves. I'm sure we'll do the other side tomorrow, and I'm sure they'll need more than one coat. Then of course we'll have to get the rest of the shelving supplies....along with more shelves to paint. So hopefully not long until I can organize some more stuff...YAY!

BTW--Jeff finally got the ringtone for him on there....now only a few more to add, but that'll be another day.
