The past week

It's been exciting..well for a few reasons. Carrie was our very first overnight guest this week. We really enjoyed having her! She stayed with us Monday and again Thursday night since those were the nights after/before half day classes at Roper Mountain. We got to get back to a little walking (about 2 hrs both nights), and of course it was super great to get to catch up, and have someone to talk to. It's a shame there's an hour and a half between us. While she was here Monday we also watched the first big celeb news of the week...Jon and Kate. We don't normally watch, but did for this one...sad. Tuesday we had our chandelier and ceiling fan installed in the foyer and living room, respectively. It's so nice to have that finally done. I can't even remember Wednesday, so it must have been busy or incredibly slow. Thursday we took Carrie to Milde Central (Jeff's parent's) for dinner, and to check out their garden. We walked again, and then got the biggest entertainment news this week from Brantley (not a guy I would go to for entertainment news)...about Michael Jackson. He, MJ not Brantley, has gotten quite weird and questionable over the years, but I still am sad that he's gone. I remember when Billie Jean became #1...I was four, but I used to dance around on the bed hoping on day I'd get to dance along with Michael...well, that dream has been crushed. Friday the LRBC ladies-Lee Anne, Rena, Vickie, and Holley-all came to do some VBS shopping. I was excited to show off the house, but even more excited to get to laugh with them all day. Saturday we went to Mike's to check out a few things at their house. Then we stopped at Aunt Linda's to see all of them. It is amazing how Carlin and Ryan have grown. We haven't gotten a chance to see them a lot over the past couple of years, and it was great to hang out with them a while. I think Ryan was glad to have someone who knew a little about video games-that would be Jeff. That leads us to Sunday...We went to First Baptist in Taylors. We've gone several times, and to a SS class three times, but honestly we are still unsure where we belong. Then we come home to hear about Billy Mays dying...Jeff liked him. We've been watching Pitchmen on TV...it's really interesting. We met a perspective tenant at Banyan. Went to dinner with Jeff's parents. Somewhere in all that Ed McMahon and Farrah Fawcett died too. So we've had a pretty busy week filled with guests, celeb news, and visiting.
