the weekend

We rose very early Saturday morning, and headed to Mike and Liz's for Daniel's 4th birthday party. We went to their house first, and got to spend time with them Liz's family and some friends...all of whom I got to meet for the first time, which was great. I've got to say her sister-in-law, who got married and month after us is just really sweet! Anyway, after some gift opening we headed to the real party. They had it at a train museum in Duluth. It was a pretty cool place. They had trains from eras past. I think traveling on train would be fun. I did a little of that in Europe years ago, but not on the ones with the sleeper cars and such. It was sort of neat, yet a little creepy to walk through these old cars. You could imagine people in costumes of the day traveling, reading newspapers, having coffee, chatting with other travelers. It was also very musty on the old trains. They also had some other old means of transportation. There were a couple "party cars" where birthday parties are held. We had some cake, then headed off for a little train ride. I have to say this was a pretty awesome party. The kids loved it, and we had a good time too!

Sunday we headed to BCBC for Sunday School and Worship. We just hung out a little that afternoon. I took the mandatory nap. Then we headed to our SS teachers' house for an ice cream social. It was great to get to know everyone outside of class. We really enjoyed it, and really like the class.

Monday we got a big start on organizing the garage. Other than that we just sort of hung out a bit.

Today has been busy with house work, appts, doing a little rental prop work, and actually work....which will likely be what the rest of the week will contain.
