The closet

We're still working away on the closet. We're almost finished with the shelving. One more brace to put up. Then we'll paint the shelves, get the rods in place and hang the clothes.

We both cleaned out a lot of our stuff. I got rid of about half---HALF---of my shoes. Seriously, we both had and honestly still do have more than we need. Not long after we got engaged we decided no clothes shopping until after November. An exception is made for wedding related clothes (THE dress). I did get Jeff two cool shirts for his birthday, but other than that nothing. There are certain aspects of clothes shopping I do not enjoy, but I do enjoy clothes. I feel a little guilty about it sometimes...something Carrie I talked about on our walks. I've been to areas (as has she), and seen people who had very little. Having enough clothes to last a week was a stretch. It's heartbreaking. I do feel like why should I buy another pair of pants when I should be helping others with it. I know it's not always logical...I mean occasionally a person just needs a new pair of pants, but it's very easy to have ways more than you need. I don't think it's a horrible thing to shop occasionally, and I have to say....I miss it. Not that I was an obsessive shopper. I always try to be wise in making purchases. There's just something about having a new article of clothing. Wearing that nice new skirt is just fun. We've tried to sort of stay away from the temptation. I couple of times I've looked. We've stayed so far away I have no idea, but I'm assuming that the new fall stuff is appearing on racks...or if not now soon. That also means sale on summer stuff. Oh boy, I got the itch for a new outfit. Clothes for the honeymoon are wedding related right?

Clothes for the honeymoon are SO allowed! You must shop, I mean come on, it is the only trip that requires tons of NEW stuff, so shop away!
