Coming together

Well, we've been at this house thing for about five weeks now. We've bought about 25 gallons of paint, painted with all but two, we've bought lighting fixtures, a couple we haven't put up yet, we've moved our stuff out and in. Our house is coming together. The fixtures we haven't hung will have to be hung by some handyman, who has a tall ladder. We have our bathroom and the other one upstairs yet to paint. I've decided to leave the horrible gold hardware in the guest bath for a while, but will go ahead and paint soon. I'm hoping to get to ours next week. We have yet to put the wanescoating molding in the dining room...maybe next week too. There's a few pieces of furniture we are lacking, some of which we have but hasn't been moved up here from CF yet, some of which we'll have to buy, but we're tired of spending money. We'll get those little pieces soon. I hung our wall stuff today...most of it. It's looking much better with stuff on the walls. I have to get a little more, and something to set on my mantle. The old house is practically finished. We have to arrange stuff in the hall bath, clean the kitchen floor, and do a little yard work, but it's ready to rent. So besides the few little loose ends to tie up, what's next? Well, the yard of course. Nancy and I rode around and looked at some neighborhoods this evening to get some ideas....and we have some. Part of the front near the house is getting totally redone, and the back is a blank canvas. I'm anxious to get started on that. Bring on the SPF 70!
