The past week

We haven't done too much of anything this week except watching the rain. Monday we finally got to see the endocrinologist for Jeff's diabetes. We made the appointment back in April. We've so been waiting to she what she was going to recommend and say about everything. We knew it before, but we got the firm diagnosis that's it's type 1. He's no longer taking medications that type 2 people take, but insulin only. Because the drugs help the body absorbing the insulin the insulin amounts first recommended....unit/10 carbs has proven not to be as effective, so we've had to up the bolus (meal/snack time insulin). We have an appointment Wednesday to check out some pumps. Whenever he is able to get one of those babies it'll be awesome. Things will be simpler.
Another thing that happened is one day (Wednesday or Thursday) we came back from a quick run to Home Depot and found our mailbox had fallen in the street. The bracket broke in the same spot it did before. This time we not only JB Welded it, but used a screw to keep it in place. Not having a mailbox is frustrating!

That seems to be about it...pretty boring, but that's us sometimes.
